Introduction
BatchMaker is a ForgeStop application used for scanning and encoding product labels in batch production environments. It runs on a dedicated Windows-based tablet and connects to RFID/NFC label readers to process labels as they pass through a production line
This guide walks you through every step of using BatchMaker, from powering on the device to completing and uploading a batch.

Connecting
Unpack and Review your and accessories
Batchmaker KITSet up your Batchmaker Hardware on the Production Line

Once everything is setup and secured, connect your power cable and turn on your Batchmaker Unit
Connect Ethernet Cable to the Batchmaker Unit

Powering On & Logging In
BatchMaker runs on a dedicated Windows tablet. When the device is powered on, the Windows login screen will appear. Enter the PIN code that has been provided by your ForgeStop administrator.
Launching your Batchmaker Software
Once the unit is turned on, the Batchmaker software will be launch
Note: If BatchMaker does not launch automatically within 5 minutes of logging in, you can start it manually from the desktop shortcut BATCHMAKER ICON or the Windows Start menu (it will appear as a pinned app).
BatchMaker Startup
After logging in, BatchMaker will launch automatically. You will briefly see the BatchMaker splash screen while the application loads and establishes a session with the ForgeStop cloud.
Once the session is established, the main Batch Maker interface will appear.
Label Readers
Click Settings to confirm your LABEL READERS are connected
If you don't see LABEL Readers, make sure the USB Cables are firmly connected to the Batchmaker USB Ports, and try again.
Confirming your Network (Wi-Fi/Ethernet)
The Batchmaker unit requires Internet connection to upload and activate tags, please confirm your Ethernet Cable (Recommended) is connected or Wi-Fi.
If you’re having problems with your network connection, check your Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection, by clicking over the Network icon on the lower right side of the taskbar.
You should see the name of the Ethernet/Wi-Fi network with one of the following words listed underneath the network name:
Connected (Secure)
Before starting your first batch, we recommend Testing your Unit and then heading to Starting your first batch.
Optional: Use the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK) to type
To open the On-Screen Keyboard, click the Keyboard button in the lower-right corner of the screen. The keyboard will remain on the screen until you close it.
